So many things that I want but don't need for our baby...

and it isn't even born. As a child my favorite thing to do was play dress-up. I would dress up all day long, I would dress and redress my dolls, and later on my Barbies or my brother or cousin Crystal. I am not sure where my fascination with clothing came from. Now I would say I enjoy clothes but would rather spend my time rearranging each room in my house. And although I don't have time to do this I often, I find it therapeutic when needed.

On top of this I have dreamed of being about to make a statuary of calm and happiness for my future children. So now that the time has come I feel torn. There are so many items I would love to fill my baby's room with like the Mercer Crib and the Nara Glider. But they are so darn expensive.

So my challenge now will be to decorate a baby space on a budget. I will use my inspiration as a guide and we'll see what I come up with. Pictures to come.

I love the hanging mobile. This image is from this website which has great decorating ideas.
I am really digging the soft blue with yellow and brown highlights.
A showcased collection of books with a bit of decor is always a favorite.
